The Prodigal son
Once there was a man with two sons. The elder one was obedient while the younger one was a little spoilt.Nevertheless, the man loved both his sons just as much.
One day,the younger son demanded for his share of the land.As the man loved his son so much,he gave his son a portion of his land without any consideration. The younger son, having all that he wanted, set off for the vibrant city to lead a luxurious life.Spending all his money on extravagant gifts and lavish parties,he also drank and had good food and life seemed as an eternity to him.
Time passed and there came a day when he had finished spending all his money. He was so poor that he led a rugged life and had to go around the streets begging for a few tokens of copper coins or a small morsel of food for his survival. To make matters worse, there was a famine and hence, there was very little food.He looked for a job as a pig tender in a farm and fed on pig food to survive.
Throughout his working days,he came to realise that even his father's servants and enough food to eat and clothes to wear but yet he was on the verge of dying from starvation. He decided to return to his father to apologise for his misdeeds and that he does not deserve to be his father's son.He had also wanted to work as one of his father's humble servants.
Although he was afraid that his father might grow into a rage of fury upon seeing him,he decided to head home to apologise against all odds.He did not bothered if his father would accept him again. He was truly repentant of his wrongdoings. As he stepped into the house, his father saw him and ran towards him to welcome him with a hug."I am sorry father as i have sinned against you,i am not worthy of being your son."His father replied"My son, fear no more as you are home. You are always my good son."Upon hearing that, tears started streaming down the son's cheeks as his father wiped it away and called for the servants to prepare a feast and call for a celebration for the return of his long lost son.
Confess and be apologetic from the bottom of the heart and be forgiven...
